Registry Easy Review

Easy 4.2 by – RegistryEasy.com
Rating: 4.7/5 stars Price:
$34.95
This latest version of Registry Easy (version 4.2) was released in
February 2008. And like its predecessor versions, this version is
lacking very little in comparison with its main competition. If Rolls
Royce is the top of the line in automobiles, then Registry Easy
is top of the line when it comes to cleaning and optimizing your
Windows registry. This program has everything that a power user could
want and then some.
Registry
Easy scans for all the same errors as the other registry
repair tools do, but it scans for more of them and it does it better.
It generally finds more empty registry key items than any other cleaner
we tested. Its algorithms go deeper into the registry than any of the
other cleaners in search of anything that isn't absolutely
necessary.
Our tests showed that this registry cleaner found, in some instance,
almost twice the amount of potential errors as other comparable
programs found.
And it does all this, and more, at a nominal price: it's only five
dollars more expensive than its closest competitors. For the power
user, it is well worth the price for the comprehensiveness it brings in
cleaning, repair, and optimization capabilities. Its Scan &
Clean feature comes with four different settings: a registry cleaner,
an evidence cleaner, a junk file cleaner, and a duplicate file cleaner.
In addition to repairing the registry, these extra feature will help to
clean the browsing history, the browser cache, and temporary system
files.
In addition to the Scan & Clean feature with four different
settings, Registry
Easy has four added features, each with their own choice of
settings. The Backups feature contains not only a registry backup
utility but a system restore points option as well. If it ever deletes
a file necessary to your system's operation, the user can easily
restore the system to a previous time, undoing any harmful changes to
the system.
The IE Tools feature contains a "Browser Help Objects Management"
utility as well as an Internet Explorer Restore capability which allows
it to restore the IE browser to its default settings to help
IE run
faster, all with the convenience of a single click of a button.
The Optimize System feature in Registry Easy
contains five different optimizers: the "System Optimizer" allows the
user to optimize the Windows system for speed and efficiency. The
"Block ActiveX" feature will block malignant ActiveX Controls
to
protect your computer. The "Error Utilities" feature scans and fixes
your Windows system errors, protecting it from crashes, freezing, and
blue screen problems.
The "Register
ActiveX" feature for ActiveX and .dll objects registry keys seeks to
address some curious Windows problems such as the inability to open new
IE windows, websites displaying incompletely, inability to auto update
Windows, inability to select film model to watch picture, random errors
with Media Player, and so on. And the "Tweak Memory" feature will allow
the user to reclaim unsued memory. And we're not finished yet with the
extras included in Registry
Easy 4.1.
Registry
Easy's System Tools feature contains two items: a
"Startup Manager" and a program "Uninstall Manager." In all, five main
features each with its own sub-features for added capability. One thing
to keep in mind is that many of these extra features may be contained
in other third party programs like TuneUp Utilities. So, if you are a
power user who enjoys getting the maximum performance out of your PC,
you may be duplicating capabilities you already have available on your
system. Yet, in this case, a little duplication can be handy as each
application may target different objects, allowing for a more thorough
scan and optimization.
Any way you look at it, Registry Easy
is a formidable and impressive registry cleaner for the money. If you
like the idea of purchasing a solid registry repair tool that contains
a lot of extra bells and whistles, then perhaps Registry Easy is the
way to go. It certainly won't hurt your pocketbook while at the same
time giving you top-of-the-line capability at cleaning and optimizing
the performance of your Windows machine. You won't regret the
thoroughness of the job it does while resting easy with the peace of
mind that you are able to maintain your registry in an optimal
performance condition.
